Ghassoul clay has anchored Moroccan beauty rituals since the 8th century. Mined from a single deposit in the Atlas Mountains, its mineral profile — silica, magnesium, potassium — exists nowhere else.

We buy directly from Atlas cooperatives, stone-grind to a superfine powder, then blend each batch by hand in Casablanca. Minimally processed. Nothing hidden.

How to perform
the mask

The ghassoul ritual is about intention as much as ingredients. Four steps for the full hammam experience — skin left smooth, tightened and visibly radiant.

Cleanse first

Begin with clean, dry skin. Remove makeup and pat completely dry — the clay grips better on a bare face.

Apply thin

Spread an even layer with fingertips or a brush, avoiding the eye area. It feels cool on contact; that's the minerals.

III

Rest, don't wait

Leave for five to ten minutes. Remove before it fully dries — especially on sensitive skin. Cracking means you went too long.

IV

Rinse & seal

Take it off with a warm damp cloth, rinse cool to close pores, then moisturise while skin is still slightly damp.

I grew up watching my mother mix ghassoul in a chipped bowl before the hammam. It was never a product. It was a Friday.

Questions, answered

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes, with one rule: rinse at five minutes, not ten. Patch-test on the inner forearm first if you react easily to new products. The coffee is milled fine specifically so it doesn't scratch.
Why amber glass?
Argan oil and vitamin E degrade in light. Amber glass blocks most of it, so the formula stays stable for the full six months. It also doesn't leach the way plastic can.
How long does a jar last?
Used twice a week on the face, 200g lasts four to six weeks. Used on the body as well, closer to three.
Where does it ship from?
Every jar is made and packaged by hand in Casablanca, then shipped to you from our US warehouse. Orders go out within three business days and typically arrive in three to five days domestically. Shipping is free.
